Kevin Hart and Steph Curry worked together on one of the funniest Chase Freedom Unlimited ads of the year. The idea of the ad, which stars two of the biggest names in basketball and show business, is that Kevin Hart bought the Gold State Warriors with his Chase Freedom card.
Hart walked into the Chase Center, the team’s venue, where Curry was practicing a few shots at the start of the commercial, which was very funny. As any new owner would, he starts shouting orders, telling everyone that the stadium seats “have gotta go.” When Curry saw Hart’s crazy behavior, he stopped what he was doing and asked his new bosses, “What kind of plan is that?” Hart then throws some laughably bad shots and storms off, yelling, “I bought the team!”
The ad has gotten a lot of attention online, and many people have called it a work of art.
The mistakes might be even funnier than the ad itself, though. Curry shared some funny videos on Instagram of the takes that didn’t make it into the commercial. There were also a lot of videos of the two stars making jokes off-camera.
Get a partner now! I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed so hard on set as I do with my brother @kevinhart4real… Thank you, @chase Freedom for getting us to work together!! The point guard wrote, “Put a heart on it!!!” as the description for his picture.
“Oh, Brother!” “Loved working with you man…we are just getting started,” the comedian replied, which made fans more hopeful about the chance of working together again in the future.
