During a break from training with Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay national team, Darwin Núñez visited Peñarol’s training facility and met an old teammate.
Darwin Núñez, a Liverpool striker from England, took advantage of a free period in training with Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay national side and visited his previous club Peñarol on Wednesday.
This was evident on his social media pages when he reposted images uploaded by two players from the current black and gold squad.
“The 9 is visiting his house,” said the left-footed defender.

Javier Méndez, too, took and published a photo with Darwin.
“You are a wonderful friend; thank you very much for taking the time to come to your house,” the defender said.
Darwin Núñez shared a moment with Franco Martínez, a former Peñarol teammate who now plays for Jorge Wilstermann, who said, “Happy to see you, brother.”
