She was also the owner of a Florida juice business called The Juice Shop, although she had to close it down in 2016 after her husband moved back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

How Did Savannah James And LeBron James Meet?

Savannah and LeBron’s love story is straight out of a romantic comedy. The pair were high school sweethearts, meeting when Savannah was a junior and LeBron was a senior. And, funnily enough, they didn’t even go to the same school – Savannah was from Buchtel High, and LeBron attended the private St Vincent/St Mary High School, their rival.

She first caught the athlete’s eye at one of his football games. Savannah was an athlete herself, being a softball player and cheerleader. But even though James was already being eyed by the NBA, Savannah didn’t know what the deal was until she attended one of his basketball games.

“I went, and I was like, Wow, this guy is pretty popular in here”, Savannah told Harper’s Bazaar. “I just thought he’d be a hometown hero for his era and it would be over”.

From their first date at an Outback Steakhouse to romantic vacations in Italy, the power couple sure has come a long way!

When Did Savannah James And LeBron James Get Married?

After meeting in the early 2000s, it took LeBron almost a decade to propose. He popped the question at a 2011 New Year’s party at Shelborne South Beach Hotel in Miami (which doubled as his 27th birthday celebration as well). Surrounded by friends, family, and his teammates, the pair got engaged as the ball dropped at midnight. Fellow NBA player Dwayne Wade even had a special role – holding onto the $300,000 engagement ring for his bud.

Less than two years later, on September 13, 2013, the pair exchanged vows in front of 200 guests in San Diego, California. They recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, but they’ve been together for almost 20 years.

Do Savannah James And LeBron James Have Any Kids?

Savannah and LeBron James have three kids together. LeBron Jr. (also known as Bronny) was born in 2004. Savannah found out she was pregnant with their first child when she was just a senior in high school at age 17, and during LeBron’s rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The future Mrs James was terrified, partly because she was still finishing up school and partly because of her pregnancy’s implications on LeBron’s new career. But the basketball player did everything he could to alleviate her fears. He told her, “It’s not going to slow me down, and it’s not going to slow you down. We’re going to keep doing what we have to do”.

Some people criticised the pregnancy, even going as far as to say that Savannah “trapped” rising star James into a relationship by getting pregnant on purpose. But the two had already been dating, and LeBron has spoken extensively about his love for his wife. So there’s probably no truth to that malicious angle.

After Bronny was born, two more kids followed. Bryce Maximus came into the world in 2007, and their first and only daughter Zhuri was born in October 2014.
