In addition to Kent Bazemore and Juan Toscano-Anderson, Scotto says that Dewayne Dedmon, Will Barton, Jaylen Nowell, Stanley Johnson, and Derrick Favors have been given a chance to play.

Scotto says that three of these guys have been with the team for a while. In 2021-22, Toscano-Anderson won a title with the Warriors, while Bazemore and Dedmon didn’t play much in their first year with the team.

Scotto’s sources say that Barton will soon be working out with the Pelicans in New Orleans. He was a regular player for the Denver Nuggets for several seasons before being traded to the Wizards and then the Toronto Raptors last year.

Scotto says that Favors recently tried out for the Portland Trail Blazers. Even though the 32-year-old center signed a 10-day deal with the Atlanta Hawks in January, he did not play for the team.

Even though there were reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves would be willing to sign and trade Nowell, who had a career-high 10.8 PPG last season, he still hasn’t found a new team. It was said that the Dallas Mavericks were interested in signing Nowell this summer, but that didn’t happen.

Johnson has played for five different teams in the last four years. In 30 games for the San Antonio Spurs last season, he scored 5.8 PPG and shot 45 percent from deep.

The Warriors have 13 players with sure contracts, and they hope to fill one of their two open spots before the season starts. The Warriors have given Exhibit 10 contracts to three players and filled one two-way spot. This gives them room to add two more players before training camp starts.
