Liverpool’s Senegalese star, Sadio Mane is back in his country after the AFCON tournament where Senegal were 1st runners-up.

The footballer took his turn to visit the construction site of a school he is generously building in his village, Bambali in Senegal.

Reports suggest that the soccer star donated £200,000 last April to fund the building of a secondary school in his home village of Bambali, Senegal.

Sadio Mane’s uncle identified as Sana Toure presented the cheque at a ceremony.

In his statement read by his uncle during the sod-cutting ceremony, Mane stated;

“Education is very important. This is what will enable you to have a good career.”

A local source revealed: “Young people, dignitaries, village chiefs and religious officials all appreciated Sadio Mane’s gesture. They also offered prayers for the footballer.”
