With his 50-point performance in Game 7 vs. the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry made NBA history in several different ways. His 50-point performance was the most points ever scored in a Game 7, and it also clinched another series victory for Curry and this Warriors core.

There are several different statistics that tell the story of Curry’s greatness in not only that final Game 7, but the first round series as a whole. Scoring 236 points across the seven-game series, Curry joined Michael Jordan as the only two players in NBA history to score at least 200 points in a playoff series at age 35 or older.

People often forget that Curry is 35 now, as his game has not aged one bit. Still in many ways at the peak of his powers, Curry has shown no signs of slowing down. With one of the best games of his career in that clinching Game 7 effort, Curry showed the NBA world why he is still on top.

His performance throughout the course of the series was dominant, and the Warriors needed every bit of it. This Golden State roster is not nearly as talented as some of the others Curry has played on, which requires a much higher level of play from him. As he showed, Curry is still able to deliver what his team needs.
